Overview

Experience one of the greatest natural spectacles - the Great Migration in the Masai Mara in Kenya - in the best spots and away from the crowds. Spend your time exploring the world-famous reserve with morning and afternoon game drives. Enjoy the anticipation of waiting and hoping for an infamous river crossing. Be stunned by the spectacle itself.

The teeming wildlife, stunning skies and savannah plains of the Masai Mara are worth a visit during most months of the year but especially in July, August and September when the wildebeest are migrating from Tanzania into Kenya.

The Mara conservancies surrounding the Masai Mara National Reserve are fabulous safari locations – with incredible day and night game viewing, options including walking safaris and authentic cultural interactions, and fewer fellow travellers. The conservancies are sustainably managed, thus both protecting the delicate eco-system and benefitting the Masai landowners.

Things to know

Watching the migration creates memories that take decades to fade. The spectacle of thousands of animals throwing themselves across the Mara River is one of the most intense wildlife events on the planet. Listening to the sounds of wildebeest wandering by our mobile camp is equally wonderful in a less dramatic way.
